As a physician I will agree that healthcare in this country is broken, but I wish I could tell you that the MDs are getting as much as you think. When looking at those crazy hospital bills of 100k plus for staying, the physician component is minuscule in that overall bill. The overwhelming majority goes to medications.
Medicine costs in the US are absurd.
And it gets worse every year. Medicare reimbursement for a procedure that I commonly perform went down by 20% this year alone.
