Wherever it was filmed, it's overrated, imo. I saw it when it was released, and endured parts of it once or twice since. Sheen and Hopper were the best performers.
As for the watch - the DIY engraving on the back is cool. I agree the bezel's been popped off and snapped on quite a few times since the filming (he'd fit right in here
), and probably been 'lost' again for dramatic ($) effect in the auction.
