I just bought the 3 year extended warranty on my '16 S550 4matic because of the God-awful depreciation and low miles (30K in 4 years). Having said that, it's a great car to DD and a wonderful highway cruiser (at 25 MPG). It's solid, heavy, comfortable and impressively fast for its bulk and mileage.
I'm not saying I wouldn't order another one in 3 years, but from the pics here:
1. The rear looks like a $20K Nissan. Or Kia. Or Toyota. Or Hyundai.
2. Not a fan of all that Piano Black.
3. Something looks off about the steering wheel to my eye.
4. The screen. If I wanted a Tesla, I would buy one.
3 more years should be at or near the mid cycle refresh, so maybe things will look better then. (?).
