I haven't been able to find a thread on whisky (there's one for wine), and surely there're some whisky lovers here!? Possibly even a Keeper of the Quaich??

I'll start.
My go to is
Lagavulin 16, single malt scotch. The peaty aroma got me at first whiff. I remember thinking this smelt like smoked salmon! It's subtly sweet and slightly spicy. Perfect pre or post meal. Very different to other scotch whiskies. Price-wise, a 750ml bottle can be picked up for about $50-$70 at your local Costco. Not something that will break the bank for sure; try it if you haven't!
