mailman - IMHO it is not just the width of the bezel - it is also the angle and finish of the bezel. It is not domed like the Day-Date and it has a mirror polished shine.
So - I just fear it will be a scratch magnet.
Then again, at the MSRP of the Day Date II in Platinum - I doubt it is a problem I will ever have personally :) :(
