Rolex follows their own slow methodical cadence. From an industry standpoint it shows Rolex follows other brands with change. Rolex is now tinkering with titanium which is 10+ years behind everyone else. When Rolex does give the nod to these changes, it usually means they are now a industry standard and not a experimental material.

As much as I love Rolex, this is what separates their conservative ideology with Panerai’s cutting edge use of materials on their classic designs. Panerai could be considered a more interesting brand to own. Rolex is a more conservative, classic brand to own.
