Possibly they do, and of course the best thing is probably to go to an AD with in-house watchmakers or an RSC.

In my case I am confident on how to do this. I was also told by a watchmaker at an AD (from whom I bought two Rolexes) how to do it. This is how he did it for customers.

But as you say. There might be better tools. I do not know.
