The insert, I believe, is a later 1980s service insert. What’s the serial number? 1976s were, largely, service cases. The uneven lume, if it’s a point of apprehension or irksome to you now, chances are it’s gonna nag at you every time you look at the watch. I’ve had Subs and a GMT in the past w inconsistent lume and I never got over it...much as I tried. What’s worse is that when it came time to sell them, it made it all the more difficult
Take your time, pay a little more than you planned on, and get a watch you’re entirely happy with. It’s not worth the headache getting one with multiple issues.
