One could therefore argue that you don’t need a Patek to tell the time, a $10 timex from a thrift store would do just fine. The reality is that the great majority of men like watches, cars, bikes and nice things. We work hard and we like to buy ourselves things in recompense. You are on a forum whose predominant volume of members are men and, you’re on the section of said forum with some of the worlds most expensive watches, collected and owned by these members. A timex would suffice, as would a 1980s ford Taurus, we didn’t join this forum because we prefer the latter
