My brothers both had Rolexes at 14. One still has that watch and he's worn it daily for 30 years. The other sold his after 10 years of use to upgrade.

If your son is mature and respectful I see no problem. I'd go Explorer 1 of those 3 but the newer 214270. If his wrist is small now then he will grow into it.
