One thing that stood out when I compared it to my Breitling SuperOcean 44 Special, is how different the crystal is when comparing the watches side by side. The SuperOcean is easy to read no matter what light you put it up against with barely any reflection, whereas the Sub is a little harder to read. Can anyone explain why that is? I'm new to the world of watches so pardon my ignorance. Is this a simple matter of "quality" and/or related to how water resistent the piece is?
Rolex dont use the Anti-Reflective (AR) coating on their crystals. The only AR they use is applied under the cyclops, this is popularly referred to as the black hole effect.

On a related note, I have been reading that AR coatings are notorious for tiny scratches. Hows your experience with the Breitling? How long have you owned it and do you see formation of tiny scratches on the crystal easily?
