116710BLNR is discontinued, replaced by the 126710BLNR and the 116710LN will be replaced by the 126710LN.

The reference numbers with the '2' have the new 32XX movement.
That's how I read the two sentences -

The new cases are very well finished and do indeed make for a slightly better experience than the outgoing generation of GMT-Master II watches. That also means the popular "Batman" black and blue bezel Rolex GMT-Master II 116710BLNR is now a discontinued model.
