At AD yesterday I compared both the 26 and 31mm, and felt 31 was the better size as 26 looked too small even on my wife's thin wrists. I also liked rose gold.
I am writing this on flight from Atl to SF and at airport I was next to a retired looking couple both with Rolexs. she had a yellow gold 26mm date just with sporadic diamonds around bezel, not loaded. She also has a couple gold necklaces and bracelet and I gotta tell ya, the 26mm in gold looked great. Looked in portion and not out of place even with her high-end jeans and casual top, she was petite probably 5'4 average frame.
I was liking the 31 but after seeing the 26 need to reevaluate.
