Thanks for all your comments. I've email WF to ask if they can achieve the same finish and am awaiting their reply. I've seen good fakes but this one I'm sure is good. The beauty of the movement, rotor and thickness of the Royal Oak I believe cannot be faked. Plus he's the original purchaser with the VAT receipt etc.
If all else fails and there really is a fake that perfect wf I can get my money back off PayPal! He insisted on paying by PayPal only! Which is good for me, I wouldn't have paid any other way. He was a relatively old guy using his business address and like tng said, he didn't know where else to sell it apart from wf who offered him £10k.
