I'm not sure I follow... A guy with a really nice watch walks over to you, a guy with a good watch, and says, 'hey, our watches are similar!' And your upset?
Isn't that akin to a guy in a Ferrari stopping next to a Miata and saying, "Hey, our cars look pretty similar!"
Sounds more like a compliment than an insult.
