I paid $6300 in December 2011.

The watch should not cost more than that, so if the proprietor won't come down at least $200, I'd walk.

Still, the last of the 14060M is still an interesting watch for the following reasons.

What is interesting about this watch is that externally, it is a 14060M, but internally, it is a 114060, as it has the Parachrom Bleu hairspring and whatever other change was made for the 114060 and of course it does have the random numerical identifier.

Now, as you can see, these things mean absolutely nothing to others here, but those are some interesting characteristics, as far as I'm concerned, and I'm very happy that I got one of the last 14060Ms off the assembly line.

Don't get me wrong. The 114060 is a beautiful watch, but the 14060M is the last of a long line of classic Submariners, in my judgement and I like my watches to be new when I buy them.

So, I'd go for it just so long as the AD isn't charging a premium because it's a discontinued watch.
