Initially when I heard about this "policy", I thought it was pretty smart. But the more think about it, it really doesn't seem to make sense.
Do you think that the person/people who spend the money time and effort in creating the tools and equipment needed to make counterfeits (however unconvincing thry might be), don't have access to real pieces to compare their work?
They probably take apart Daytonas and GMT's in order to try and make each individual piece as close as possible. Obviously they are unable to make a perfect copy thus we have people like on this forum who are able to pick them out of a line-up. They probably know better than the people here where their copies are lacking.
I think that sharing how to spot fakes and getting thst info out there for more and more people to see will eventually save people heartache and grief.
