Have to admit, I think that design is truly awful and not supportive of the brand - it does look like something you'd get with a new vacuum cleaner, not high end time piece. "Roll up, roll up, get you additional free three year warranty here!"
I maybe making a mountain out of a mole hill but that isn't good for the prestigious brand of AP and whoever designed it, and even worse, approved it, should be fired. I hope this kind of thing isn't adopted elsewhere as it would tarnish the brand image for me.
I bought an Omega recently (first one) and the quality of presentation was superb - better than AP and way better than Rolex. I realise it doesn't directly effect the watch itself, but presentation goes a long way to building brand value and loyalty.
