I would say that if you tried on a 40mm and felt it was too big, then go for the 37mm YM. BUT if you can wear the 40mm, then buy the 40mm. the 37mm is probably for a person who wants the 40mm but it just doesnt feel right on the wrist.

now the 36mm DJ, is the perfect size DJ, simple as that. 36mm was the standard for 50+ years and IMO should still be.

You cannot go wrong with the 36mm DJ, but you CAN go wrong with the YM 37mm. Be careful of the comparison because you dont want to realize the 37mm is an "odd" size after the fact. I would stear clear of the 37mm, and go with the safer 36mm DJ.
