Really? The platinum YM bezel is quite durable....im curious to see what your seeing.....are you referring to the gold or platinum bezels?
For the oil? It has the same inner texture as a Sub and GMT...just more surface area. And the oil can easily be wiped clean from any model...the YM just shows it a bit more.
