I'm new to the world of watches and am delighted to find this forum to do research in. Thanks for being here.

I inherited this 1962 Rolex Submariner model 5508 from a U.S. Navy veteran friend of mine some 20 years ago. John served in Vietnam during the late 1960s, but he never spoke about his time over there. I do remember noticing that he always wore this watch here at home.

From what I have learned on this forum, this Submariner appears to be original.
