We’ve used John Lewis Home insurance and once the collection expanded they specified the safe type. Eurograde and the cash rating. The safe companies are well used to this and will recommend.

Typically, they need to be bolted to a solid wall/floor and be protected within an alarm zone. Get a higher rated one to match collection goals.

TH March are very good as well

Important correction: I know this is a UK thread but I was trying to point out only the safe rating designations here in the US and failed to copy the accompanying coverage thresholds so here's the full requirements up to $1million. My understanding is that for coverage less than $500k where a safe is required their certifications (if any) are lower and evaluated on a case-by-case basis:

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS BASED ON COVERAGE:
If and when your collection grows you may want to consider the following residential security requirements for coverage when surpassing $500,000 in coverage which may also reduce your premium when eligible.

Security Requirements per Coverage Threshold:

> $500K
Central Station Burglar Alarm with 24-Hour Singal Continuity
OR
UL-rated safe (750 lbs or bolted)

> $1Million
Central station burglar alarm with 24-Hour signal continuity
AND
UL Listed Safe TRTL-30 (Bolted or 750lbs) No Sensors
OR TL-30 (Bolted or 750 lbs) with contact or motion sensors
contact sensors on the safe itself or motion sensors in the room where the safe is. And either should have their own zone within the burglar system.
