Wow that really sucks - would you mind expanding what that means? Just some couch sleuths talking unwanted smack?

Some showcases of rare pieces is always appreciated (at least I'd hope it would be)

I have posted previously on this. The IG issues fall into various buckets:

1. The usual scams
2. Hate messages from strangers
3. Requests to be friends from ladies of a “professional” nature
4. People asking for assistance with allocations (my name has been used a lot in dealers around the world without me knowing who the people are would you believe “I am a friend of conkers does that help with allocations” - you can’t make this BS up)
5. Unsolicited badgering (quite aggressive in some cases) from dealers I have never met or used. Including offering pieces well above market price (on the assumption I have a big collection therefore aren’t price sensitive!!).
6. Requests to be a “sugar daddy”
7. Requests to mentor people who have never met me, know nothing about me and who think because I have some watches I have something to offer them.
8. Using my posts and placing them on dealer websites claiming they are for sale.
9. People messaging me and telling me I was just offered “x” from your collection by a dealer. Dealers I have never heard of and never engaged with. This is worse for the very rare and unique pieces.

And a lot of the time it gets quite unpleasant when I decline to assist or am not interested.

Whilst allocations are highly challenging, AP are very fair and transparent with me. The days of getting everything one wants are long over and I was just very lucky to arrive at the party before almost everyone else!

Looks great on the grey hornback strap from the 2014 ROO "Elephant".

Seriously though, that is wild! I never would have guessed anything beyond the usual haters, but it all [sadly] makes sense once you listed them.

You now understand why I have stopped using IG. It is a real shame for watch lovers.

Perfect Summer watch and beautiful combo with the white strap. Is the strap OEM? That color is not available in the webpage.

Sorry to read this Roger. But given your list of reasons why, I get it completely.

Incredible and the ultimate summer watch.

Tried this on the other day and completely love it so if I add another ROO it’s top of my list. And with the White strap (non OEM?) it’s even better

It is OEM, was readily available at AP House and got it on collection day. They have a bunch of colors not listed on the website.

Thank you! Will check with the boutique then, my diver needs new color schemes for the summer!

Thanks my friend. As I say a shame for watch lovers who miss out on seeing some very interesting watches on the wrist of a genuine collector. On a positive note it liberates a lot of time to focus on sourcing more pieces!
