Gray market prices dropping

Looks like an LN partially bleached.
AD says very little requests for it which makes sense to me.
But, different strokes for different folks.
Talked to a good friend who owns a gray market watch store in Hatton Garden....he says these are plentiful in his trade chat groups and not selling that well, he has one on oyster he is ready to sell for mid 16k pounds so already dropping fast from high teens.. ..he says Hong Kong pricing sets the tone with the UK and other markets following suit and Hong Kong traders are currently pricing the oyster at 16k so he expects the UK to follow in the next few weeks, with the jubilee being stronger but dropping to 17 to 17,5 in the next few weeks....

He predicts that this should not be to difficult from an AD if one is willing to wait a few months, otherwise 15k for oyster and 16.5k for jubilee by July....YMMV

That's understandable. The 116710LN is a fantastic piece, and if you're happy with it, there's no need to add another just for the sake of it. Each watch in a collection should have its unique appeal to you. Enjoy your 116710LN!

I just tried the GRNR on an Oyster and Jubilee bracelet a few hours ago. Very nice model especially in flesh :)

It look like a great compromise for those hesitating between the submariner and the gmt :)

Sorry, I don't get it. None of them before the 116710 had the massive numerals on the bezel.

If you mean Bakelite being shinier than aluminium, it was but it was nowhere near as shiny as Cerachrom and the Oyster bracelet didn't have polished centre links until the 116710.

It’s nice. But Batman and Pepsi are nicer. That’s the issue here for me

What a thread. Not really showing off the forum in a great light..
As for the watch in question i have only seen photos, which we all know aren’t the same as seeing on the wrist. But now someone has said it’s essentially the old LN but with sun glare i can’t unsee that lol. I too think that if they were going grey scale they could have left the GMT hand white gold perhaps.
Listen if someone wants to gift me one i’m in, but not sure i’d hanker for it.

I think the market is dictating it too, only a few released but at £20k they’re not shifting on the grey market, soon many more will come in and the price will drop grey wise ..
I’m happy with a VTNR as it adds weirdness and Rolex green, but it’s a boring world if we all wore the same thing and plenty will love this watch so I’d never widdle on someone’s chips who wants it or likes it .. I won’t push for it though from my AD

It is not bad by any means: a solid 7-8/10 IMO.

However, the green accent seems like an afterthought. With matching grey text / gmt hand this would be easily 9/10.

I'm yet to see one in the metal so I'll reserve my absolute decision until I do

but I will say I'd probably liked to have seen a different choice to the green, rather than a replication of the old 116710LN - perhaps a use of red.

I think if they'd gone for red GMT hand and red text, this watch would have gone absolutely nuts (which is mad, for a colour)

Nice pic, shows up the grey properly and the Jub looks great on it too, love my TT and this is a nice, more subtle edition for the ss lover.
