While I admire PP form afar it is not a watch that I am interested in owning. I understand the brand and the history and there are a few models I would consider but as a whole, not so much. Each of us is different so you could feel completely opposite and not be wrong. I like the Daytona and believe it is a very robust watch with a lot of history and an equal amount of hype. I have owned them all, and in every metal, so I have some personal experience with them and if they do it for you, then why not. Would I do a trade for the PP, no. If I was going for another chrono it might be a historic Tag Racing model or a Speedmaster. Cost of ownership is better than the PP. Service costs would be a fraction of PP and for me the watches are just more fun. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Agreed, and they seem so delicate compared to a Rolex (but then again so do most watches and to me that's the #1 appeal of the Crown).

Your Daytona's have a 12-hour timing function. The Patek is only 30 minutes. Pretty useless in my view.

This is something I often think. A 12 hour chrono is so much more practical.

Why not? Two Daytonas are more than enough. Enjoy the Patek
