Closest to OEM rubber strap for white speedy?

I think I’m going to take the plunge. Everything I have read and heard about the white dial says it fabulous enough to own even as an owner of a black dial.

I LOVE the white dial on the OEM rubber strap but always make it a point to buy the watch on bracelet. I don’t really want to pay OEM prices to add this rubber racing strap, so any recommendations on a high quality strap that mimics the following pic of the OEM?? I love the holes and white threading. What’s my best option in your opinion (not looking for cheap, not looking for the traditional OEM rubber like on Seamasters. I want it like the pic ). TIA

Hmmm. I gotta say lately I'm sold on OEM straps and buckles. In my experience OEM stuff fits the watch perfectly and OEM stuff ensures the watch fits my wrist comfortably. I know it's not the answer to the question you asked.

My 2 cents...

The OEM strap with deploaynt clasp is amazing and really not that expensive @$540. You're spending over $8K on the watch, why cheap out and buy an alternative?

Hmmm..

I think that may have been worth a lot more than 2 cents..

I figured it would be more when coupled with a deployant. Maybe I could even talk them into a discount on the accessories, I'm a known return client.

The rubber strap and deployant clasp are $540 together. Looks like they're available to order on Omega's site now (availability of straps can be a bit spotty there). I'll bet if you're purchasing from an AD or a Boutique these would be a throw-in, but I wouldn't know from experience.

Let us know how it goes!

I will jump on board and say the OEM straps are the best in my experience. They are also the most expensive but you get what you pay for. This could be the exception and just step up and get what makes the watch exactly right for you. I would buy it on the bracelet, get the OEM strap and deployment clasp and go on with it. I own the white dial on bracelet and think it is great. I am going to call my Boutique and see about the leather strap. If available, I am going to buy it. Let us know what you decide.

$540 is the price with the clasp. $270 for just the strap.

Doesn't hurt to ask the SA if they would consider a discount on accessories. I have a great relationship with my OB/SA and they will be throwing in the strap/clasp whenever mine comes in.

That said, if you want the rally strap as pictured and you want to use it on a deployant clasp... OEM is the only way to go.

just a quick call out - the racing strap that you have pictured there is leather, not rubber.

Good catch! Thanks brotha...

I feel confident I could get something like this "thrown in" on some other Omega references, but this 3861 is as hot as glowing embers at the moment. Hopefully my spend will pay history off and they will at minimum order it at cost.

It will be awhile though. I've always used Toppers (I work at SFO), but in NORCAL, there are a lot of folks in the queue for this reference. Plus, in a region of whales, I'm more like minnow.

Good point. I should know better. I can’t imagine my 300m being on anything but OEM

Looks great!

I don't think it hurts to ask for the strap/clasp to be thrown in with the purchase especially if you have spend history.

Love that as well? That’s the OEM rubber on the moonshine no? I love the textured moon surface backing. I still think I prefer the white contrast stitching on the leather though.

Yes used to come only on the Gold 3861 but now can be purchased separately
