Sorry to hear that your Rolex with serial number 200G5755 was stolen. Please share some information on how that happened so other members of the forum will be aware. Also, have you filed a police report and reported a watch to Rolex?

I'm sorry to hear your Submariner was stolen. And that is was a 116610LV serial number 200G5755

You do want to get that watch on the stolen Rolex database quickly.

I was out drinking at a club in Florence, Italy when my drink got spiked. I lost consciousness and an unknown taxi that I had not called brought me home. When I woke up my Rolex was missing. I filed a police report and they are going to be watching the camera footage in the club. I also went to my local Rolex dealer and they took a copy of my police report and so I assume they sent it to the Rolex database in Geneva. Really sucks because that was the only gift my mother left me before passing away from lung cancer when I was 18. So the sentimental attachment to my Rolex with serial number 200G5755 cannot even be put into words.

My Rolex was stolen most likely by a taxi driver in Italy. Odds of recovering it?

Surveillance footage of the club where I left from in a very intoxicated state showed me getting into a taxi with my Rolex on. 20 minutes later the taxi is seen arriving at my residence and I get out without my watch in an extremely intoxicated state (can barely stand up). The taxi plate was given to the police and the taxi left without being paid (I had no cash on me and there is a 35€ card payment made at that same exact time when the taxi arrived from my credit card to the taxi, and that transaction being declined by my bank) so the taxi left without getting paid. What are the odds I can recover my Rolex? I have reported the serial number to the police, to Rolex Geneva and on the watch registry. I mean what are the odds that a taxi driver knows how to properly get away with this type of crime? Can I ask a judge to get a search warrant?
PS in Italy camera recordings inside taxi cars are automatically deleted after 2 hours so there is no footage of what actually happened inside the taxi (wtf)

A good friend of mine also had his watch stolen by a taxi driver in Milan some years back. Mind you he was drunk enough to ask the driver to come up for a drink. He did, and left with his watch.

Always keep your eyes open, gents.

We've allowed taxi drivers to run rampant throughout the streets of our cities.

First off I am sorry to hear about your plight.

Some of what you've posted might work against the odds of getting a warrant.

Under those circumstances you wouldn't be a reliable witness in a hearing.

Nor in a trial - the judge or jury wouldn't know if it fell off, you took it off, or a mishap occurred.
