AD Lost Status & Warranty Impact
A local store that used to be an AD of a particular brand earlier this year is no longer an AD. They lost their status.
This particular dealer still has stock of the manufacturers watches and said that the watches will still have full manufacturer warranty dated the day of the sale even though they no longer carry the AD status. Does this sound right? Obviously I’ll check the warranty card prior to leaving to ensure effective warranty date matches the sale date. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sounds legit. They bought the stock when they were authorized. Just because they lost their status does not mean that the watches do. The brand(s) should still honor those warranties but if you want to confirm, call the brand's CS dept.

I called the USA customer service line and in fact they did confirm this. They said as long as I get a warranty card at time of purchase it’s a valid warranty on their end. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Its no different than buying from a private person. As long as it is still under the warranty time then the watch is covered.

No issues with the warranty. My AD lost the Omega account 10 years ago and can still submit watches for repair to Omega.
