UK Customs

Hi All, seen a Tudor Prince Date Day however, watch is in the US. Seller is on Chrono 24 - does anyone know what the sketch is with customs?

TTFN.

You’ll have to pay customs duty and VAT before taking possession. There are calculators online that will tell your how much, but it usually makes it more expensive than buying from within the EU

You will be better off purchasing from a UK seller with regards to cost, once you add relevant duty fees on

Unless you can get the seller to play ball, and claim in the customs form “returned goods - for service & repair” even if the full amount is disclosed, this should help with the customs part.

Makes no sense for EU citizens to buy in the US. Nearly 21% VAT and another 6% duties for shipping to the NL. For the UK probably not much different.

Have some patience. Once Brexit is effective our UK friends can shop very cheap in the US

Basically, dollar price becomes sterling when you add import duty and vat.

We will see how Brexit can hinder sales or purchases from Europe to the United Kingdom,
