Rolex VS Wrist size...Helping people decide what time piece to get

There is always talk about "which watch", how a watch fits small or big.
I thought it would be a good idea to post watches vs wrist size.

If you can please try to have a good over the wrist photo so people can see really how the time piece fits.

Here's my Daytona on a 7 1/2" - 19cm wrist

I think it looks far too small on your wrist, Ken. It'd look much better on my 6.75" wrist so I suggest you pop it in the post to me without delay...

Great thread! I'd like to see wrist measurements with all wrist shots: it'd be very helpful.

Truth is I agree, to me it feels small at times. But that's because most of the time I wear 44mm pieces. Unfortunately for you, it was a gift and I can't get rid of it LOL

While wrist size is a consideration, IMHO wrist shape is much more critical.

Thanks but I only currently have two of them, the DJ and the GMT. Both EXPs are gone.

116710 on 7.75 inch wrist- the first picture. I now wear the watch 100% of the time on my right wrist and do not know the measurement of this wrist- the second picture.

Ken, trust me, your Daytona looks fabulous! It's really the only other watch I fancy... well, that and a BLNR (cough).

This group of shots is very telling how the explorer 2 fits. I can only assume that they are all the 42mm version. As you examine the images you can see how the bracelet becomes more visible.

6", 7", 7.5" and 8" respectively

No pictures at the moment, but my wrist comes in at 7.4". For me, the 40mm watches are the perfect size. 36mm and 44mm wear fine on my wrist as well, but 40mm seems to be the sweet spot for me.

I agree with Mike, shape of your wrist has as much to do with how the watch looks.

I have a flat 7.25 " wrist. DJ2

I prefer the older 40mm 16570 (beautifully subtle) but you've got the wrist to carry the new (and more beautifully made) 42mm beauty.

To get the best idea for us internet folk, the camera needs to be at least 12 inches away, ideally 15 inches to eliminate any fisheye effect. In this pic my camera is maybe 7 inches away so not ideal but gives a decent impression of how the Subc looks on my 7 inch wrist.

how the 42mm EXP II sits on the bone. Looks like there may be a bit of a fish eye effect off my phone.

how I usually wear it.

maybe a wrist shot and a half body shot would put the sizes much more into perspective?
