crown guard and REG. T.M.
Are the Luminor 1950 watches the only ones that have "REG. T.M." engraved on their crown guard? I'm assuming it's short for "registered trademark"?
Btw, it's midnight and I can't sleep. Waiting for my first PAM to arrive later today.

Yes Reg T.M. is Registered Trademark and only 1950s cases have the Reg T.M. on the crown guard protector.
Thats a nice Panerai. I like that the bezel is clean without a tachymetre and the brushed case. Why did you choose to go with a 40mm? Just curious. |

Thanks! Exactly why I like it. Re: 40mm, I guess I'm used to smaller watches and I just felt the 44mm looked to big on my small 6.5" wrist. I also need to be a little conservative at work so it all works out. Re: REG TM, it does give the watch a vintage look. It's on my favorite 275.

jms, 40mm is perfect for when you want a Panerai but cannot entertain the 44mm.
Lucky for you that the case is brushed while the bezel is polished. It looks absolutely stunning in this combination of brushed and polished. |

NEVER even noticed that! This is one of the things so great about TRF, you can learn something most every day of the week here! Unfortunately, now I need to supplement my PAM 90 with something that has "Reg. TM" on the crown guard!! More $'s!!!
