Baselworld 17 ... Oyster Flex

How do you all feel about the Oyster Flex band thats on the 116655?

I saw something online about baselworld releasing some new yacht masters in SS on the oyster flex, I personally think the ss YM with the different dials will be a huge hit.

Anyone have the 116655 and can comment on the oyster flex?

Would be awesome that like the Tudor Pelagos, would include both.

I think those black Oysterflex bands look much nicer with the steel cases than they do with the Everose gold. The black ceramic bezel looks nice with the silver dial too.

All speculation at this point though...

While I want to like top left best, I think bottom left looks best

It would definitely be interesting to have Rolex offer them like they do with leather for other lines

116655 one of best looking Rolex IMHO. Also the Oysterflex is most comfortable bracelet. Those look cool but the combo of the Everose, black matte dial, gold/red print and black bezel will be impossible to beat for me. Could they release some? Perhaps but they don't look as stealth nor prefect as the 116655 does.

There can be only one...

Ken, was looking at these. How does the comfort compare to the 5167r?

Even more comfortable. The ridges under strap give nice cushion and hold watch in place nicely. Also on hot days expands for perfect fit. One of my favorite watches for sure!

Seem really comfortable, just like the glidelock, I hope they put these with more models.

Never tried the Oysterflex on but I'm not keen on it. I find the metal bracelet on a Rolex is one of the best things about the watches and wouldn't want to give it up. I may change my mind if I got to try the Oysterflex though.

I like rubber straps very much. I wear a patek 5164a and love the look and the feel of the rubber

So I hope Rolex includes the oysterflex as an option for other watches, I will be a buyer for sure

Wow, that's really saying something! My 5167 and now 5164 are incredibly comfortable, so I have to check this one out myself

Okay, but why the G11 over a W222?

I remember when Hublot launched the first rubber straps on high-end Swiss watches. Many, many years ago. They've become fashionable again. I find them hot and perishable. I prefer the good old steel bracelet on sports watches. Leather for dress watches.
