What non-PM models are the hardest to get?

I suppose the #1 in that spot is the SS Daytona. What other models are particularly difficult to come by these days (stainless or stainless + gold bezel only please).

Whatever has the biggest mark up will be the hardest then work backwards. That’s realistically the best way to work it out.

I’ve been on a waitlist for a BLRO for 3 years with a purchasing history. The AD was honest enough to say that he can’t see me ever getting it. I ended up changing it to polar explorer 2 which may be achievable within a year.

He stated that the BLRO is only second to the Daytona with the Cermit third.

I think it’s most fun to hear what ADs are saying and the top pieces they feel are hardest. I would say my opinion which is somewhat educated by talking to my AD-

1. White Daytona
2. Blue Skydweller
3. Black Daytona
4. OP41 in probably Turquoise
5. BLRO
6. OP41 Red
7. Green Bezel Sub
8. BLNR
9. Not sure where to put OP41 in Yellow and Green but it would probably be here

No idea where to put the white or black dial skydwellers but I know they’re not easy to come by either.

Except it's a fabricated markup by ~10 businesses/individuals who dominate the grey market in the US.

One day it was all conspired to re-list all these watches at 35k or so. And it happened.

People need to realize they have a group chat amongst them all.

That's just about right. Most small to medium volume ADs only get *one* Blue per year. Some get zero (technically 0.5/year, or 1 every 2 years).

White is roughly in the 2 range, and Black is also roughly in the 2 range.

Has someone with one of these watches on hand approached any of these 10 individuals/businesses to get an estimate on how much they would be willing to buy the watch for in order to test this theory? I would at least think if this were the case that they probably would be hesitant to buy at all, or they would throw a number that is insanely low?

That's not how you test this theory. I mean, they're going to offer you something higher than retail price, obviously. How else did they get their inventory in the first place?

Also, it is not a theory that they have a group chat going amongst most of them. It's fact. Some of us have seen it, and some have screenshots.

To think they wouldn't have a group chat going in order to inquire about pieces, inquire and set pricing, etc., would be naive. This isn't illegal to do, so why wouldn't they do it?

With respect to a group chat, that's expected. Of course dealers would be in communication...ADs certainly are in communication as well, as are dealers in industries completely unrelated to Rolex. But a discussion about pieces and a discussion about an agreement in setting prices are two very different things?

I am not an expert at law by any means, so correct me if I am wrong, but I would think that the action in the claim you are making ("One day it was all conspired to re-list all these watches at 35k or so. And it happened") is not allowed under the Sherman Act? If so, that seems to be a pretty serious claim. (I'm not saying you are wrong as I've never personally seen the chat so I could not speak to its contents.)

You're right, I suppose it is technically illegal, but I don't ever see anyone caring enough to enforce the Sherman Act against a couple handfuls of grey market dealers selling ultra-luxury items that no one actually needs and is not stifling competition in any way since they aren't producing the products themselves.

So, it's likely that the US Government would spend more than a second considering this, and will move on to bigger fish to fry.
