2 new watches for my collection
So I ordered this 1/2 weeks ago and was told 3-5 months and it arrived on Monday! Went and collected it today I’m very excited about this watch - I did make a previous post saying I had ordered it.
Two tone datejust on jubilee with a champagne dial. I have quite a large collection and some PM models etc, I sold a 5 digit two tone submariner a little while back which whilst I don’t regret it, the condition wasn’t great and I got a good price for it and felt I should move it on as I have moved most of my 5 digits out now just personal preference for the newer models, which left a two tone gap in my collection. So I had this watch, my first ever Rolex when I was 18, I saved very hard and wore it for the next ten years or so as one watch, in the 36mm version of course. Sent it of for a service then as you all know that is where the madness usually starts as you need another one to wear while it’s being serviced etc etc and from the my collection grew very very my quickly. So fast forward to now and I have the 41mm version, considered another sub in two tone but this I feel is still the best two tone model Rolex produces, and it really says Rolex to anyone who sees it even who aren’t watch geeks, which I love about it. Couple of photos... obviously there’s some nostalgia attached to it for me aswell. It reminds me personally of achieving success I lived on my own from a young age and barely had enough money for food and electric and it still brings back those memories of being able to buy a Rolex for the first time. Also I picked up the recently discontinued polar explorer a couple weeks ago so a shot of that here aswell. Have a good day everybody! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Congrats, looks great. I am still trying to decide between this or the TT Sub for my first TT piece.

Congratulations on both Jay
I especially like the TT Datejust. Like you, I think of it as being the quintessential Rolex. Very cool that it brings you back down memory lane as well. Enjoy them both. |

Great new pair Jay. My first Rolex was a TT DJ back in my early twenties. I loved that watch and wore it every day for nearly a decade (lost in a car-jacking back in the late ‘90’s). I often think of replacing it - great to see you’ve done it.

Class. Both very nice additions. Pretty hard for me not to wear the meteorite DD-DD of yours though.

Heh thankyou yes that watch remains my favourite by a long stretch it’s the best version meteorite dial out there if you ask me. I tend to save my PM watches for more special occasions going out for dinner etc but it’s very hard not to wear it all the time!

Thanks still some catching up to do with you mate :)
Thanks Brian and everyone else must say am a lot more excited with The datejust than the explorer but I haven’t given the explorer much of a chance yet. Datejust - ss sky dweller white dial - SD43 is my current rotation feel like there’s a lot of bases covered there :) |

Awesome. Just ordered a TT DJ 41 Champagne dial myself last week. Full sleeve as well. Hope it looks as good on my wrist as it does yours.

I’ve been tempted of late to try the DJ 41 in that exact combination. It looks awesome.
