Hello from Malaysia!

Hello fellow member.

I am a newbie from Malaysia.

I have posted some photos in this tread to share.

Can anyone let me know how old is this Tudor watch? It's logo is a flower and not the shield that is used these days.

Appreciate your feedback.

Thanks.

Welcome aboard, Al!

If memory serves me correctly, Tudor switched to the shield some time in the mid-60's, although I don't know if they changed it for all of their models at the same time. I'm sure some of the experts here will be able to give you a reasonably precise date.

The next time you send it in for service, check the inside face of the caseback and see if a manufacturing date is stamped there - it should show which quarter of which year your watch was manufactured in.

I have a few of these old Tudors myself. Some I have sold. The older ones have the rose logo. There are some with a big rose and some with a small rose. I believe sometime in the late 1960s they change over to the shield logo.

From your pics I can see you have a problem getting the right size (19mm) straps.

Oh, I'm in KL.

No, but I have been there several times. KL, Penang, Malacca, and Miri, Sarawak.

Penang is really nice, but only stopped there for a few hours on a train ride from Singapore to Bangkok. Tourist visit. Same with Malacca.

However, with KL and Miri I am there often on business.

Cheers,

M8
