Given the opportunity... wich of the two?
Hi guys.
Curios what everyone thinks of this. Given the opportunity... which of the two would you pick and why? |

I've tried both, I'd get the AP. I have two Pateks including the 5167 which I kind of prefer to the 5711.

44ss. Had one, loved it. Also like PP but found I liked the 5711 mainly because other people seemed to like it. End of the day, I found it too plain and stopped thinking about one.
44ss vs 5726 or 5980 and it's a bit more interesting. |

They are two very different watches. I looked at these two side by side and went with the AP 44mm. The PP was too small for me and looked plain. I was able to compare the white dial 15400 as well and I actually thought the detail and quality of the 15400 was better than the 5711.

gotta go PP over ROO here (even if that white face isn't my favorite). comparably priced ROC and i would think harder.

the ROO seems to be a different level. the dial has lots of classy detail, the patek looks like 50 dollars watch. im not talking the movement, but the looks. |

Yes. To a person who knows nothing about watches. I mean nothing... The nautilus looks like a $50 watch. To the rest of us, to each their own

PP is more elegant and dare I say it, more versatile (casual+formal) than the 44mm ROO. I say this while owning a 44mm FC ROO.
However, I choose the ROO in this case as the 5711 in white does nothing for me. IMO Nautilus looks best in blue dial. If I were to go for a Nautilus I'd spring for the 5980/1A in blue, which is a clear upgrade over the ROO from a fully in-house chrono and higher retention value standpoint. |

The PP. I have three AP ROOs and no desire for that model when I have ones I like much better already....
