AR Coating on PO8500 - how durable is it?
Recently I saw a FS post that the seller had declared there are "scratches on the AR coating when viewed from an angle".
I wonder how durable/resilient is the AR outer coating on the PO? I have a habit of rinsing my watches with mild soap and water after wearing. To dry it, I clean it with an old face towel. Will this action be "harmful" to the AR coating? Thanks! |

That won't harm the ar coating. The good thing is that it can be easily removed and the crystal looks new, just a simple polish will do the trick.

thanks,
You mean a simple polish can permanently remove the outer AR coating (when it starts to show scratches). my initial thought was that the AR coating is not a strong coat (like our anti fog coat inside swimming goggles) lol :) |
