Los Angeles GTG????

I know there are bunch from L.A. here on Rolexforums.com!!!!!
How about an informal GTG @ Westfield Topanga mall( 6600 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Canoga Park) in the San Fernando valley, Saturday Aug. 28th. at high noon(12)????
There are watch stores there & as I recall they have a pretty interesting food court...lots of parking, that shouldn't be a problem!!!!
PM if there's an interest!
If there's an interest I'll meet you there in front of Tourneau @ high noon....I will be wearing a ski mask, carrying a sack & hammer....I suggest wearing comfortable shoes...we may have to move fast, just kidding, maybe

Sounds good, the mall was recently redone and is one of the nicer ones in town. Maybe we can get one of the shops to give away a free Rolex, lol.

Sounds interesting, but one of my wife's favorite former students, whose mother has become one of my wife's good friends, is getting married that day. According to my wife, it is a MUST ATTEND event . . . period, end of story!

The Valley? THE VALLEY?!

Sorry, dude; I don't do the 818...

(Not really a snob, just hate the drive out there. I'd be up for one on the other side of the hill, tho.)

I'd be interested in getting together, but I don't know if I would be able to pull it off given a toddler at home plus a new baby. Also, my hours at work suck, so I usually don't get home until pretty late in the evenings on weekdays. Keep me in the loop if you guys do decide something, and I can see if I can try to join you. Would definitely be nice to meet some locals. Thanks.

Here are a few places in the West Hollywood / Beverly Hills area that may be fun to visit......perhaps a GTG someplace around this area might be something to consider....

And, there is a cigar lounge right on Melrose (See "A" below)....

G, Thats a fantastic Idea. I say we go to the Cigar lounge. Gil, I have quit smoking for like 7 to 8 months. is a cigar as bad as a cig? Pardon my ignorance.

Okay guys, me and grissom have a potential venue, I want to ask your thoughts on the Cigar lounge on Melrose... lets set up a Date

I'm more of a vintage guy and pretty much have already settled on Rolex as my brand....I like some of these interesting suggestions by Grissom as possible shops to look into. I'm in regardless of where the "group" decides to go.

all are welcome, no worries.
Paladin: if vintage is your game, WBAW is a very short drive from Beverly Hills: you need to go see what they have, it's one of the better vintage watch shops around.

A Saturday night might bring more folks out, and from farther away (Orange , San Diego, Ventura Counties) seeing as the whole traffic situation might be better than a Friday night....

And, as someone mentioned in a previous post or thread, meeting in Orange County might be a secondary consideration, should the above idea not pan out. A bunch of us met in Costa Mesa for dinner at South Coast Plaza (Capital Grille) late 2010 and then walked over to the Rolex Boutique at South Coast Plaza......that was a nice evening!

I also think that Costa Mesa might be a better place. It is true that LA has more variety of places to go, but the traffic and parking are terrible

And Alfred would know how much I hate driving to LA
