Good trade - Sub for Pam 164?
Would this be a good trade? Near mint Sub U-series from 1998 for a 3-year-old Pam 164?
thanks |

If you like the sub better than your 164, than yes.
If you like your 164 better than the sub, than no. |

If you prefer the 164 then yes it's a good trade. A lot of times people base their decision on money when satisfaction is the more important issue.

The 164 is a popular PAM and very nice as an everyday watch. |

Thanks for the responses.
Nicko, I was just concerned given the lack of response and because I am rather new here. Theken, your answer was helpful. |

Sounds like a great trade.
And you'll be happy by the sounds of it. Go for it.

I would do it, but that's because I like a pam better than a sub.

I never replied b/c I don't have any input to really help you out. They are about the same value, maybe the 164 a little more, but depends on condition of both watches really.
The 164 doesn't speak to me, so if you were asking me...

If you ask the question in a Rolex forum, people will say keep the Sub
If you ask the question in a Panerai forum, people will say trade for the 164 But if you ask the question in a Panerai sub-forum under a Rolex forum ... LOL For me, I would do the trade if you know the watch 164 is in good condition, good working order and authentic. Because Sub is much more common (a little too common :P ) and the PAM offers much more fun with changing straps that will never get you bored. :) |
