INCOMING: Leonardo FP...

Haven't posted in a while; but here's a new edition to my collection.

I just 'had to have' it...Love Da Vinci's works/story.

Fabulous Limited Edition MB FP.

Detailed review to follow, but for now I haven't even taken off the plastic cover!

The Da Vinci has a mirror in the top, so when you look through you see the reflection of the Montblanc emblem placed upside down in the underside of the cap!

Enjoy for now, review to follow...

Well, it comes with M, but I'd like to replace it.

I like writing with F, but also like more calligraphic (sp?) with B; so haven't decided yet. Going to play around with both nib sizes on others, then decide.

It has to go back to Germany for nib replacement

Chris, why would the FP need to go back to Germany? Can't MontBlanc in New York City exchange out the nib???

Odd, but yes, the Limited Editions now have to go to Germany as they destroy all stock related to it after a certain time period.

Chris, Thanx for the explanation...that's to bad that you will be without your new Fountain Pen for awhile when you decide on which nib to go ahead with. How long will it take MontBlanc to swap out the nib and get the pen returned to you???

I actually intend to USE this piece! The boutique manager was saying that everyone she has sold them to has requested the shrinkwrapped box not be opened...If so, maybe I'll be the only one in a few years with a nib other than Medium!

Thanks, it's got some very unique features. I'm writing a review now, should have it posted by the end of the weekend.

I am the proud owner of the John Lennon FP and I did open it up to look at it and checked it out. Since I have five other MontBlanc FP's, I will continue to use these and leave the John Lennon FP for future use...or give it to my son one day when he gets one of my Rolex watches!!!

Chris, take care.....Leo
