Are there any watches available to purchase in the world?

*excluding lady watches

In terms of TT, PM, or large SS's (like SD). Or is it pretty much empty displays worldwide? I know CA (Bay Area and LA area) is pretty much empty, but what about elsewhere?

A quick read of the boards here will tell you all you need to know.
Stores are basically empty, everywhere.

Thousands of brand new Rolex watches are purchased from ADs every single day.

An empty display case means there’s no shortage of eager and willing customers.

2021 was the year the purpose of display cases transitioned from showing available stock to educating prospects about Rolex collections.

This.

Don’t believe the narrative that’s been created. New watches are sold every day from ADs around the world.

I can’t tell if this is hyperbole or not.

Of course there are watches for sale. It’s the social media hype watches that are difficult to get by just walking in.

Of course they are available. I picked up these 2 in the past 2 weeks from my AD. Stores are not empty. There is a little bit of wait for hot or in demand pieces.

Picked up this one earlier this year in Feb.

There are watches for those who can get them. Conversely there are non for those who cannot. It’s back to the old purchase history saga.

As others are saying, AD’s all over the world are selling more Rolex than they ever have, it’s just harder to crack the code due to demand.
But if you’re looking for that mystical Rolex AD somewhere/anywhere in the world that has shelves full of watches for immediate delivery to walk-ins, it doesn’t exist.

Thank you. On my skin tone, Rose Gold doesn’t sit right. Hence opted for Yellow Gold. I also had the option of WG Olive dial but the Olive dial appeared muted against white gold.

If Rolex makes 800K watches per year that means 2192 watches each day for the world. One could say, not really a lot of watches ever available. I would like an AP watch and they only produce about 45K per year. With no history or relationship with a boutique, I believe my chances of getting one are a solid 0.0%. Your chances with Rolex I say would be better than if looking for an AP today.

You’ll need to be in favour with the AD or no soup for you

There is ton of watches to buy at MSRP, provided you are wealthy enough. As more people flock to the brand, SA have to triage people and will skew it towards the top of the top. Unfortunately, just being able to buy a Rolex isn’t a good indicator of wealth anymore. Anybody can spend 10k today.

If you want to wander into a Rolex store and buy out of the window or display case then no nothing is available.

Why, well the demand simply outstrips supply, stores simply cannot keep up with the influx of people wanting to buy a Rolex.

Are stores selling Rolex watches, yes as fast as they can get them from Rolex.

If you want a Rolex go and talk to your AD and then be patient, very very patient.

If you think Rolex is bad, try AP or Patek for a change… or RM.

But seriously though, with a bit of patience and good faith, you end up getting what you want.

Just don’t succumb to the narrative that you need to annoyingly harass or court your AD into getting you stuff. Keep your dignity, lay out why you want what you want and if it’s not to flip, you’ll get it sooner or later.

Of course - our AD here receives about 3 times as many watches as they did last year - Rolex is pumping them out. Lots of people I know are getting calls.

However - if you have no purchase history or good profile - then chances are pretty low....

Not buying currently but I'm certain I could come back with a men's Rolex within the day if I wanted to (from a local AD). I stay away from the ADs because they usually cost me money.

Next year they will increase to 50,000 (AP) - so there is that.

This is by the way a panel discussion the pretty cool CEO from Dubai Watch Week last week....

Walmart has watches from 8 bucks all day many of which have nicer and more readable dials than the Pander.

Plenty of Richard Mille available, every owner is very highly motivated to sell too.

Unlikely for any Rolex, but there are many other fantastic and fun brands out there. If you're only tuned into Rolex at MSRP, then you need to be famous or convince an AD that you have a worthwhile customer. Just like how many Rolex buyers today speculate on future values and see it as an investment, AD's are doing something similar and are gauging your worth to future business.
