Incoming - 5711

I have owned a 5726 on bracelet and strap, 5980 two tone and Rose bracelet, none of these lasted long. I had a 5980R sold it, bought the actual watch back. Having trouble getting a Nautilus to last in the collection or rotation. I now love and wear my 5980R, I wear it a few days each month.

I was considering rounding things out by having a Nautilus on bracelet to add to the strap and have one piece in steel and one PM. Didn't know which reference was going to sing to me this time around, if any. Kind of been there done that sort of thought process.

In speaking to my favorite and great AD's I was informed they just had a 5711 arrive. I always thought of it as just an entry level piece due to the lack of complications. Then I started to think about the 5711 more and more. I generally have tastes now towards extremes, if I want a sports watch I want the ultimate, if a complicated I want them all, etc.

The 5711 is an 'all rounder' HOWEVER sometimes less is more. A clean, quality, simple watch can be extreme, extremely classic and cool. I think this is one I will wear and retain.

Very nice! It's funny (and a relief) to hear the crazy thought process another watch nut goes through... Rolf.

The main appeal of a Nautilus is to be blue, ultra thin and on bracelet, so for me there are only 2 which fit the criteria, the others are very cool just very different watches, same thing IMO goes for RO's, just my personal tastes of course... Anyways congrats you'll probably keep this one
