Anyone here actually have a Twenty-4?

The wife likes the watch, but I'm weary of spending that much (even with a healthy discount) on a quartz watch.

Does anyone have one? How are the service (battery) intervals? How's the fit and finish?

It took my wife a while to "get" it, but

now it's the watch she wears the most. While she has a couple of mechanical watches, this one is no fuss - just pick it up, put it on, and wear it. It needed a new battery after about 3 years or so, done by a local watchmaker.

Got my wife a Twenty-4 and she hasn’t took it down for the last 3 months. The Twenty-4 doubles as a watch and as a jewelry bracelet as well. No regret buying it for her seeing her enjoying the watch every minute of it

Prices are extremely reasonable by Patek standards but I would personally get a tank instead. Stick with the original.

Before getting the Twenty~4, definitely consider the Tank. However if you and your spouse regularly get invited to Patek events, then wearing a Twenty~4 would be more appropriate. There is a reason the SS Twenty~4 (4910) is the best selling Patek of all time - its timeless elegance, Patek name and the reasonable price for a Patek watch. The diamonds on the bezel are only the best quality diamonds.

If your wife is a watch person, get her an automatic watch, even better a Patek complicated watch. But for a beautiful quartz watch, where you don't mind paying a little extra, the Twenty~4 is the one to get. If you are on a tighter budget, Tank would be a great option.

Thanks for the opinions all! For some odd reason, the Twenty-4 looks great, but the tank looks like something her mother would wear; her words, not mine.

FYI, she actually prefers an automatic watch, but we couldn't actually find that she liked. I have to say, the ladies' automatic watch market is quite small.

I was in the same situation - trying to find a women's watch from a top brand for under $20k. Most are quartz at this level unless you look at JLC, etc. Ended up going with the the women's AP RO 67651ST.

What is a healthy discount for a Twenty-4 from an AD?

Not sure on the discounts, but my wife loves hers. I showed it to her a few times to a reaction of "meh!", then all of a sudden she loved it! It's her most worn watch.

24s are nice. Patek makes some really nice ladies watches in the calatrava and nautilus lines that are automatic. Maybe check those out. Best

I was in the same aituation...I ended up refusing to pay for a 24. I paid for a 7118 1a 010 instead.

I think the twenty4's on strap are nice looking womens pieces.. the quartz was definitely a turn off for my mom when she was looking at them so she went a different direction.. my wife, who only has quartz watches, thought they were nice also.

I have a few friends wives that have the 24. Around 50% off list in the secondary Market? I'd avoid new because nobody really wants Patek Philippe quartz watch, so the secondary Market should be a bargain. How much is the AD willing to give you, 30% off new would be minimum imho.

My wife has a Cartier Tank Francaise and Ballon Bleu. Both automatic, both significantly less expensive, both more attractive (to me, subjective) than the 24.

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak for women looks good to me, quartz as I recall.

My wife's friend has one. Personally, I'd have a hard time paying that much for a quartz watch. The Cartier Tank Solo on a bracelet has a similar (better, in my opinion) look for a lot less money. If I were you, I'd take your wife to look at Cartier's manual and automatic models again or, even better, JLC's Reverso models. I think both offer a lot more for the money than the 24. My wife loves her Reversos and Cartiers.

Hi, I bought my wife a 4764 and she loves it!It is a classic solid gold Patek with the unique blue gold face. Very thin and elegant. For her, she doesn’t have to fuss wth setting time or putting it on a wonder when she is wearing another watch. Buying in the secondary market, it is a great buy imo.

Automatics preferred!

We wanted self winding after the hassle of getting battery changes. Missus has the 7018 Nauti and then got the Automatic 24 as well. The dials change in light so much.....

There’s a Ballon Bleu/Yachtmaster/Constellation in the collection too but PP are getting most wrist time.
For girls Patek are under the radar - only for those in the know!!!
