New arrival this week
Don't know exactly where I stumbled upon Steinhart, but thanks to Google, ended up with No. 4 of 55 of the Nav. B - Chrono Vintage. Found it online at Wanhat Warikset in Finland. Ordered on February 14, and took about 10 days to arrive.
The label Once inside the packing, I spy the outer box A look inside the piano black lacquer presentation box On my wrist... The 47mm is almost too much! Comparing the lume (and size) of the Steinhart to the Explorer II

That's a very cool watch Jim. There is a lot of info on that dial, but it does not look "busy."

Jim, nice looking fliger watch and congrats.
I had a chance to play around with NAV B Chro II (44mm) and was impressed with it. Looks as the vintage model took one step further. Be sure to post a follow-up review on it.

Thanks! Still getting used to the size. I like a large watch, but I'll admit this is about my limit. It's actually very comfortable with the strap and deployment buckle, though.
While I really don't care one way or the other (and not the reason I wear any particular watch), this one got a comment the first day wore it. Since wearing my Rolex, I've only had one person make a remark... The 7750 movement is running fine. So far, it seems to be about +6-7 seconds. I'm going to see how it performs over time. But even at that, I'm really pleased.

Mighty nice lume on that Steinhart. Congrats on the pickup, Jim!

I am really getting into Flieger watches.
The simplicity and clarity is fascinating. The slightly retro markers, hands, crown etc is equally appealing IMO. Like Bill said, its amazing how it combines so much info and yet still looks so clear and crisp. Looks like the case has a matte, carbon finish......looks beautiful Jim!!!! |
