Competent watchmaker in the southeastern Michigan area?

This is a quick question for the folks in the southeastern Michigan area. Just relocated to Ann Arbor for grad school in September, I am not familiar with the area due to busy school work. Can anyone recommend a local competent watchmaker? Thanks!

I can help you somewhat - there's an amazingly good watchmaker in Michigan, but he's in the SW part of the state:

I've driven over to him on a few occasions it is worth it if you're picky (like me). He's as good, or better than, anyone I've dealt with on the Coasts.

Back in Time international - Birmingham, MI

These guys are a great option to consider if you don't mind driving to Birmingham. Kirk the owner is well known in watch circles around metro Detroit.

This is rather old, but additionally, there is a Rolex AD on Main (Ann Arbor). It's called Schlanderer and Sons — family owned and friendly folks.

Dominique was one of the instructors at Lititz. I've met him, he's a nice guy, but a little intense. Which is a good quality IMHO.

Personally, I use Jamie Dolinar, who is Rolex Certified and a CW21 in Sterling Heights. Excellent work, a stickler for perfection, and someone I've known for many, many years.

Hope you find the right guy. Also know it's an old post... so if you have found someone, who did you use?
