Just ordered a new marathon GSAR !

Just placed an order for a new Marathon GSAR. It was between that or the TSAR ( Quartz version ). The quartz version was $300 cheaper but I did want an automatic movement so I opted for the GSAR instead.

This will be my first marathon watch !

Anyone own a GSAR ? How accurate is it ? Quality ? Etc

Did I make the right decision vs getting the TSAR ?

I had a GSAR but returned it because it was gaining 30 seconds a day. Make sure you test it’s accuracy the first week!
Congratulations

Hmmm, I’ve read mixed reviews about the accuracy out of the box. Anywhere from +1 a day to +-30 a day.

I was supposed to get mine today but got held up in customs ( ordered direct from marathon, and apparently had some kind of delay in customs through Fed-Ex for some reason.

Should be getting it tomorrow before noon. I have the Toolwatch app on my iPhone to time it’s accuracy.

Whelp - got my GSAR in the mail 3 days ago. In three days it’s only lost 7 seconds total. So, I’m VERY happy with that !

Took it off the rubber strap and put her on a nato and I’m 100% happy. The rubber strap was nice, had a nice vanilla smell to it, but I can’t wear rubber straps as my wrists tend to sweat more and causes my skin to get irritated.

She glows really bright at night too. Already took her swimming and in the hot tub and everything’s 100% fine.
