Got my new Seiko Premier Kenetic Perpetual

Okay, I finally got my Seiko, and it's a beauty! It's model SNP005P1.

This photo is pretty crappy, my girlfriend took her DSLR with her to work, so I'll have some great pics for you later.

This should hold me off until I get my Rolex. It seems like a great watch, and I'm proud to own it.

Here's a stock photo:

Great watch. Vukoto has a review of it in the non Rolex reviews. Very nice watch. I just tried it on while I was in Iowa. I was impressed. It is a nice watch.

These new Seikos are pretty interesting.
What do they range in MSRP?
I saw Seikos for several THOUSAND dollars ($US) and thought it was a misprint. Not so...
Nice watch though! Good luck with it and look forward to seeing the Rolex you pair it with.
Also, how is the accuracy on these Seikos?

That price is for the Spring Drives which have the finest accuracy imaginable in a mechanical watch line. The perpetual calendar that I looked at in Iowa was identical to the one showing here. It was about $650.00 and would be discounted by 15% according to the sales lady at the jewelery store I was at. They also had one that had a more symmetrical sub dial displaying the leap year. It had three sub dials which made it look more even.

This one retails at £425 ($850), but I got a 25% discount as my girlfriend works in the store. ;)

Her DSLR battery ran out, so I don't have any pics as of yet - I shall post them up when I get them though.

I'm very happy with the purchase - I love the date stuff, and it's just an overall nice looking watch, quite dressy which I really like. I'm also quite impressed with the detail - great value for money, and it has helped me to decide what I want in a Rolex.

The accuracy is spot on so far - but I'll see how many seconds it gains/loses over the course of a month, and report back.

It`s accuracy is amazing, you`ll see it in time!
I got the same model for about a year and it`s probably the best quartz watch that I ever had!
Congratulations and wear it in a good health!

:) Yep, I saw the one that you got in the store, too. I opted for the black face as that's just what appealed to me the most.

These are some pics my girlfriend took. No wrist shot in here, I'll post one up later.

It's keeping very accurate time, by the way. Not a second lost or gained, yet, and I get a lot of people staring at it! Very nice watch.

Okay I've had this for over a week, and only now has it lost 1 second. Just astonishing!

WOW!

I really love the look of this as well. Might have to pick one of these up for my wrist.

Best Regards,

Funnily, it has regained the lost second! Now that's accuracy you cannot beat.
