Rolex 1630 Automatic NOT Oysterquartz

Today's pick-up. Rolex 1630. Before the Oysterquartz, Rolex had automatic versions of the Datejust and Day and Date in cases with integrated bracelets.

This 1630 is a one owner watch and came with inner box, papers, and booklets.

Dial is actually silver, but aged tona champagne color.

My friend Ignacio noted that it has a later Oysterquartz bracelet as the original 1630's bracelet would have had a center gold link. Bracelet number confirms this. Doesn't bother me.

Sticker still in place!

Nice pick up.

I think Al on the forum also has one.

A very special Rolex but in need of some TLC.

Very nice. I've been on the lookout for a 1530 forever.

Congrats. A bit of the Tudor Integrale 9101/9111 about it, with the two part dial/inner bezel (outer dial ring). Very nice.

The Rolex legit/security code reads :

24th November 1976

They are usually stamped in red, but occasionally in black.

The more serious brother of the playful Oysterquartz (the latter of which I'm wearing right now).

Very nice. You are a naughty doctor.

Mine was really tired when I got it. The RSC did a great job of restoring the sharp edges.

I never knew this watch existed 'til I saw something pop up on Instagram. Pretty sure it was gold and it looked stunning! Do love an integrated bracelet; wish Rolex would bring this back!

The bracelet is from an oysterquartz. You have to get the gold center link version for the watch to be correct.
