Icon14 Open message to Steve (Lol-x) & the Mods - A very HUGE Thank You for maintaining TRF

Steve (and the Moderators).....

Just wanted take a moment this Thanksgiving Weekend (for those of us in the US) to say a very heartfelt THANK YOU, so much, for TRF.

With the help of my friends here on TRF, I was able to most comfortably snag the recent Rolex 5513 I just acquired this Thanksgiving Day. Through the unselfish sharing of information and opinions, I was able to get up to speed quickly, "vintage 5513 wise", such that I felt comfortable making this acquisition.

Through your example and hard work, Steve, as well as that of the Moderators, we have access to an extremely safe, friendly "family" of like minded enthusiasts, who, by and large, can be counted on to selflessly help out those who ask. The vigilance of the "management" along with that of the members here weeds out those who would harm or take advantage of us, almost as soon as they seem to show up! The camaraderie fostered here is at a level that I have never seen before, on an internet forum.

So, in light of how critical TRF was in my recent 5513 acquisition, and how supportive and complimentary the members have been once I posted my thread with pics of my "new to me" 5513, as I "dived" back in to Vintage, I wanted to take a few moments to publicly recognize and thank you and your Mod team, for maintaing such an awesome community. I hope that I have, in some small way, added, as a member, to this positive experience, for others, as well!

In appreciation,

Nathan

ps.....here is just the most recent example of what I am referring to, when I say we are a "family" engaging in selfless behavior:

I agree 100%. This is the best forum I have seen online. The people here are awesome and the mods are second to none. I am so excited to be a part of this place and hope to someday input as much as I take.
Very informative place that is laid out extremely well. I know that sometime being a mod can be a thankless job and most people do not realize the crap y'all have to put up with. Thanks again for doing what you do and keeping a place where enthusiasts can come and share there passion and information

Well, i am new. I haven't figured out how to use anything yet. But it is very cool already! This could be my next Facebook...because that is kind of superfluous and a little ridiculous. At least most of this has purpose. I look forward to much more involvement in future.
