Omega Liquid metal

The liquid metal / ceramic insert in the bezel of my Omega PO liquid metal fell out, thankfully I found the insert on the floor by luck and it looks OK. I have e-mailed my AD and await a reply but not best pleased with a 9 month old watch failing in this way, very disappointed. Anyone else had this problem?

That sounds like another ceramic bezel I know about...
I'm glad it didn't break.
You got to love new technology.

While I have heard a few stories buzzing around regarding the ceramic bezels on Rolex watches this is the first time I've heard one about an Omega. Hopefully its just one of those odd but very rare occurances which is far from the norm.

Glad to know it did not break like some Rolex ceramics I have heard about.

im sure if a Rolex ceramic insert falls out of the bezel onto the floor, there is a good chance that it will survive....

imo - if it was banged against something solid at a "wrong" angle, anything can happen for both the Omega & rolex bezel insert

Thankfully it fell onto a carpeted floor whilst sat on an airplane, glanced down to see a rather odd looking watch face and then panic set in to see if I could find it. I was lucky 30mins later I would have been heading to another flight. It’s now back in the bezel for safety but spinning freely so not wearing at the moment until I can get it fixed. Hopefully the AD will come up with a plan of action soon but I am disappointed.
